of Anglicanorum Coetibus. Led by Most Rev. Steven J. Lopes and Ordinariate Clergy
Including London, Oxford, Cambridge, Walsingham, Norwich and Rome.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Sunday, May 3 – HOME/LONDON
Depart from the chosen city on the flight/s to London. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board. (M)
 
Day 2: Monday, May 4 – LONDON/OXFORD
Arrive at London Heathrow Airport. After passport control, meet the tour leader and board the private motor coach that will take you north-west through the British countryside, to Oxford. Settle in and adjust to the new time. Later in the afternoon, a Mass of thanksgiving for a safe arrival will be celebrated, possibly at the Dominican Church at Blackfriars. Return to the hotel in time to enjoy dinner. (D)
 
Day 3: Tuesday, May 5 – OXFORD
This morning, enjoy a walking tour through Oxford and its Colleges with particular focus on the sites dear to Blessed John Henry Newman. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city, or perhaps to enjoy a pint at The Eagle and Child where C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and the other Inklings would gather. Dinner will be provided at the hotel. This evening, we will hear a lecture on the lasting legacy of John Henry Newman. (B, D)
 
Day 4: Wednesday, May 6 – OXFORD/CAMBRIDGE/NORWICH
After breakast, reach Cambridge and discover in a guided tour the iconic sights such as the Corpus Clock, the Senate House and many of the beautiful central colleges including Corpus Christi, King’s, Gonville & Caius and Trinity (outside visits). Hear about famous students and world-changing discoveries, as well as student life, past and present. After free time for lunch, continue to the medieval city of Norwich. Dinner will be served at or near the hotel. (B, D)
 
Day 5: Thursday, May 7 – NORWICH
In the morning, Mass will be celebrated by Most Rev. Alan Hopes at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, then take advantage of free time for independent exploration. In the afternoon, an optional trip is planned to the wa­terfront town of Ipswich. Tonight, savor dinner at the hotel, then join a lecture on St. Julian of Norwich. (B, D)
 
Day 6: Friday, May 8 – NORWICH/WALSINGHAM/LONDON
The day starts by reaching Walsingham and celebrating Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham, fol­lowed by a visit to the Catholic Shrine and Slipper Chapel. Continue to Walsingham village and enjoy some free time to explore sites such as the ruins and the Anglican shrine. Finally, reach London in time for dinner served at or near the hotel. (B, L, D)
 
Day 7: Saturday, May 9 – LONDON
The day is free to discover on your own all that the English capital has to offer. Some may wish to join an op­tional guided sightseeing tour including outside visits of Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. In the afternoon, join the clergy and the faithful of the other Ordinariates at a Solemn Mass to celebrate the anniversary of Anglicanorum coetibus. (B)
 
Day 8: Sunday, May 10 – LONDON/ROME
In the morning, reach the airport for your flight to Rome. After some time to settle in at the hotel, enjoy a first Roman meal at a nearby restaurant. (B, D)
 
Day 9: Monday, May 11 – ROME
Celebrate Mass at San Gregorio Magno, the Church where St. Gregory the Great sent St. Augustine and the other first missionaries to England. Continue with a visit to the Basilica of St. Mary Major and the Cathedral of Rome, St. John Lateran. Afterwards, take part in an optional tour of the Scavi, the excavations beneath St. Peter’s, or an optional visit of the impressive Vatican Museums. Walk through some of the most unique rooms and view the works of art of famous artists, the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s masterpiece “The Last Judgment” and visit the most magnificent of churches, St. Peter’s Basilica. Tonight, explore independently for one of Rome’s endless fine restaurants. (B)
 
Day 10: Tuesday, May 12 – ROME
After a Mass celebration at St. Peter’s, possibly at the Altar of the Chair, the days’ activities will be dedicated to Ordinariate visits/activities, including a Panel Discussion on the Ordinariate identity and mission. Dinner this evening will be at a selected restaurant on the ancient Appian Way. (B, D)
 
Day 11: Wednesday, May 13 – ROME
What a way to begin the day, at St. Peter’s Square to attend the Papal Audience given by His Holiness Pope Francis. After free time for lunch, the remainder of the day has been set aside for last minute shopping or sightseeing. Why not visit the world famous Trevi Fountain. Remember to toss in that coin that ensures your return to Rome! Maybe walk along the designer shop lined street, the Via Condotti, to reach the Spanish Steps where 135 monumental steps lead up to the church of the Santissima Trinita’ dei Monti, before returning to the hotel. This evening, celebrate Mass then an “Arrivederci Roma” toast is in order at the Farewell Dinner served at a festive Roman restaurant in the old part of Rome called Trastevere. (B, D)
 
Day 12: Thursday, May 14 – ROME/HOME
This morning you will be accompanied by your tour leader to the airport and assisted with check in formality to board the flight home. You will be asking yourself “where did the time go? (B, M)
