SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The Mass of Ordination of Bishop-elect Lopes will be held at 7 p.m. at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway in downtown Houston, on Feb. 2, 2016. A public reception will follow at the Cathedral Centre.

All other events will be held at the Chancery of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter and Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church in Houston.

MONDAY, FEB. 1, 2016
12 to 5 p.m. - Ordinariate Help Desk open at the Hilton Americas-Houston. First come, first serve sign ups available for return shuttle service to IAH and Hobby Airport on Feb. 3; see Feb. 3 schedule below for departure times.
3:30 p.m. - Buses leave the Hilton Americas-Houston for the Chancery of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter/Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church
5 p.m. - Vigil of Prayer with First Evensong of Candlemas, Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church
5:30 p.m. - Last bus leaves the Hilton Americas for the Chancery/Our Lady of Walsingham
6:30 p.m. - Public reception for Bishop Steven J. Lopes, Chancery
7:30 p.m. - Buses leave the Chancery/Our Lady of Walsingham to return to the Hilton Americas-Houston

6 a.m. • 8 a.m. • 10 a.m. - Shuttle service provided to IAH and Hobby Airport; first-come, first serve sign ups available at the Ordinariate Help Desk, Feb. 1 and 2.
8:30 a.m. - Travelers’ Mass at Hilton Americas-Houston (Conference Room to be announced — please check with the Ordinariate Help Desk or Hilton Americas Front Desk)
9:45 a.m. - Bus leaves the Hilton Americas-Houston for the Chancery of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter
10:30 a.m. - “Meet the Bishop”: A casual coffee hour with Bishop Lopes, Ordinariate Chancery (for those guests still in town on Feb. 3)
12 p.m. - Bus returns to the Hilton Americas-Houston

VESTING INFORMATION FOR CLERGY

Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops: Please bring your alb and white mitre.

Ordinariate Clergy:

• Ordinariate priests and deacons should bring cassock and cotta for the Feb. 1 Vigil of Prayer with Evensong. Vesting begins at 4 p.m. in the Mosaic Foyer of the Chancery. You are welcome to wear Biretta in the procession in and out at the Evensong on Feb. 1, but not on Feb. 2 for the Mass of Ordination at the Co-Cathedral.

• Ordinariate priests and deacons should bring an alb for the Feb. 2 Mass of Ordination. Vesting begins on Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cathedral Centre (1701 San Jacinto, directly across from the Downtown Chancery).

All other Clergy:
Priests and Deacons should bring an alb and white stole for the Mass of Ordination on Feb. 2. Vesting will take place in the Cathedral Centre, 1701 San Jacinto, directly across from the Downtown Chancery, at 6 p.m.

TRANSPORTATION

The schedule above specifies the times when the buses will be leaving the Hilton Americas-Houston for the Chancery/Our Lady of Walsingham and for the Co-Cathedral, as well as return trips from those locations.

NOTE: On Tuesday, Feb. 2, buses are scheduled to depart the hotel at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m., but will also circulate between the Hilton Americas and the Chancery as needed.

If you should miss one of the scheduled buses and wish to take a taxi cab or Uber to the event destinations, the addresses are:

PARKING FOR MASS ON FEB. 2

If you should decide to drive to the Mass of Ordination, please note that parking is limited around the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Houston:

• Free parking will be available at the Amegy Garage at the corner of Fannin and St. Joseph Parkway starting at 6 p.m. Look for the yellow signs near the Co-Cathedral directing cars to the Amegy Garage.

• Limited free parking will be available in the lot behind the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston's Chancery, 1700 San Jacinto; across the street from the front of the Co-Cathedral, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway; and behind the Cathedral Centre, 1701 San Jacinto.

• Limited street parking is available along San Jacinto, between St. Joseph Parkway and Pease.

• Otherwise, click here to view a map identifying paid parking lots within 3 to 10 blocks of the Co-Cathedral.

Please note that the Houston Rockets are playing the Miami Heat at the Toyota Center (near the Hilton Americas and Co-Cathedral) on the evening of Feb. 2. Be prepared for traffic and parking lines.

Airports
Houston has two airports: Houston Intercontinental (IAH) and Houston Hobby (HOU). Hobby is 11 miles from the host hotel; IAH is 20 miles from the host hotel.
