Preferred Bequest Language for The Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter:
"I, [Full Name], residing at [Address], declare this to be my [First/Second/Last] Will and Testament, and I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, whose Chancery Offices are located at 7730 Westview Dr. Houston TX 77055, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization having EIN 45-4161282 the sum of $[specific dollar amount] (or [percentage]% of my estate) to be used at the discretion of its governing body for the general purposes of the Ordinariate.
If at the time of my death, the Ordinariate has merged with another Roman Catholic Diocese or has changed its name, this bequest shall be directed to the Diocese that results from such merger or name change. If the Ordinariate has ceased to exist, I direct that this bequest be given to the Roman Catholic Diocese that has taken over its functions and responsibilities, or if none exists, to an organization with similar purposes as the Ordinariate within the Roman Catholic Church, as determined by the executor of my estate.
I request that this bequest be acknowledged by the Ordinariate in accordance with its customary practices and that my name be recorded in any appropriate memorial or recognition materials as [Full Name].
